Good Neighbors GTX has a new system for inventory. Sortly Inc. is now our platform for our inventory. From socks to car seats, we will have a firsthand, on the spot, up to date, from our phone look at our inventory (earlier this year we expanded into another climate control storage unit).
We are pleased to announce that Kathleen Smith will be moving into Cheryl Coy’s role as “Storehouse Keeper.” She has been a friend to GNGTX from the start, several of us all met at the same church, and she is in the same Bible Study of all of us residing in Georgetown. We are over the top excited to have her join us. Cheryl will be transitioning
to other areas of our ministry which need attention.
With Sortly we can “automate” our entire inventory and be able to access it from anywhere, any time. We will be in the company of 15,000 other companies who use this system.
Many thanks and praises to God for all our faithful, one time, all the time donors who have made this advancement necessary to keep up with all the donations we receive throughout the year.
With the thought of donations in mind, GNGTX has opted to accept and receive only new clothing, shoes, and car seats. We will continue to consider slightly used and pristine clean strollers, Pak and plays and furniture items (for our in-crisis families). We just do not have the capacity nor the help to accept “gently used” clothes any longer.
We suggest donations of used clothing be made to the Caring Place or Good Will.
