Hope After the Flood: Helping a Family of Five Start Again

When devastating floods swept through our community on the July 4th weekend, one local family of five lost everything – their home, their belongings, and their sense of security.  Displaced and now living in a motel, they are waiting for other nonprofit partners to help them find permanent housing.

Good Neighbors GTX was there to offer a glimmer of hope in the midst of their storm.  We delivered a hot, comforting meal to their temporary shelter, reminding them that they are not alone. Along with the meal, we provided gift cards for clothing, shoes and food – basic necessities to help restore a sense of normalcy as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

This family is  just one of many in our community who are struggling to rebuild after the flood.

You can help.  Every gift – large or small – makes a real difference.
