At Good Neighbors GTX, we believe no family should face hunger or homelessness alone.
Last winter, Sarah (name changed), a single mom of six, was about to lose her home. After an unexpected job loss, she fell behind on rent, ran out of groceries, and her car was nearly out of gas – all while caring for her kids alone.
When Sarah reached out to us, we stepped in right away. Our donors and volunteers made sure her family had food, gas, and emergency shelter. Soon after, another nonprofit helped her find stable housing in a nearby town outside our service area.
We haven’t heard from Sarah since her move, but we hope she and her kids are safe, settled, and thriving.
Stories like Sarah’s show how critical it is for our community to work together to help families in crisis – even if just for a chapter of their journey.
